Laveta (Lee) Colclasure Donald Miller, 90, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, just before 8 p.m.

Lee loved her family fiercely and was known for her strength and great sense of humor. She was passionate about cooking, traveling, and gambling — she always knew how to live life to the fullest. Over the years, she worked as a bartender at a few different spots, where she loved serving people and, in her off time, enjoyed a drink or two herself.

She leaves behind nine grandchildren — Tammy, Denver, Clay, Emily, McKenna, Karac, Rheanna, Holly, and Jaycie; thirteen great-grandkids — Elise, Hannah, Nicole, Mya, Carlie, Josh, Emma, Dresden, Eva, Matthew, Bronson, Benjamin, and Mallory; and two great-great-grandkids — Arlo and Delilah. She is also survived by her adopted daughter, Rhonda, and some very special bonus family members: Laura, Yaya, Little Marge, and her friend Sheryl’s family. Plus, a whole bunch of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Etta Colclasure; her son, Danny, and his wife, Beth; her daughter, Sandy, and her husband, David; eight siblings — Eula, Clifford, Harold, Delbert, Margery, Genie, Chet, and Wanda; and her longtime friend Sheryl.

We’ll be having a celebration of life for her sometime in August.

If you ever find yourself missing her, just have a salted Miller Lite or a margarita on the rocks and sit down to a meal with lots of salt and butter — she’ll be right there with you.
