Steven Eagler

Steven Craig Eagler, 70, of Maroa, was guided Home to eternal glory on Oct. 16, 2024.

Born in Decatur, Ill., on Sept. 6, 1954, to Harold and Leah Ann (Haman) Eagler, Steve grew up in Maroa, Ill., and proudly spent much of his life in his hometown, cheering on his favorite football team, the Trojans.

The oldest of five children and father of two, Steve was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His parents went before him to eternal glory and are surely rejoicing with him today. He is deeply missed by his son, Christopher Andrew, his son-in-law, Dana, and his grandson, Keegan; his daughter, Kathryn Darlene; his siblings, Dawn and Daniel Nibbelin, Janet Eagler, James and April Eagler, and Jeffry Eagler; as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Celebrate Steven’s life in a relaxed atmosphere with food and fellowship on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Moundford Free Methodist Church, 1803 E Mound Rd, Decatur, IL 62526.
