Betty Lou Keaster (Sparks)

April 13, 1949 – November 26, 2024

Maroa, Illinois – Betty Keaster, 75, formerly of Latham, passed away peacefully, in Clinton, IL, surrounded by her two sons on November 26, 2024. She was born on April 13, 1949, to Tracy Sparks and Sarah (Short) Sparks in Marquette, Michigan. Betty was a longtime resident of both Maroa, IL and Latham, IL.

Betty is survived by her beloved sons Gary (Lisa) Maki of Apopka, FL, Robert “Lenny” (Amy) Harper of Maroa, IL; grandkids Garrett (Carol) Maki, Peyten Maki, Colbe Sullivan, Shelbi Harper and Cayden Harper; great-grandkids Carter Moore, Selena Maki and Bella Maki.

Simple pleasures brought her so much joy, including gardening, especially cooking, her beloved dog, cooking pasties often requested by her family and most of all family gatherings with lots of laughs. One of her favorite things to do was showing her dance moves.

Graveside services will be held at the Maroa Cemetery on a date yet to be determined.
