Shirley Ann Russell

Shirley Ann Russell, 79, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

A walk-through celebration of life will be held February 1, 2025, from 3-5pm at West Decatur Church of God. A meal will follow at 5pm at Kate’s Corner Cafe.

Shirley was born on August 2, 1945, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Rial and Thersia Conaway. She married Larry Russell Sr. She was a janitor for RD McMillen.

She is survived by her husband Larry, children David (Sharilyn) Russell, Linda (Joe) Thompson, Thersia Skinner, Butch (Lisa) Russell, Todd (Jeff) Russell and Laura Russell, grandchildren Jordan Russell, Samantha Ragan, Holly Russell, Megan (Chad) Blair, Jessica (Dillon) Wanless, Courtney (Blake) Lowe, Katie (Dalton) Russell and Austin (Zailey) Skinner as well as many great grandchildren that she loved so much.

She was proceeded in death by her son Larry Russell Jr., son-in-law Arlen Skinner, grandchild Luxton Russell and great grandchild Kannen Leffler.
