Pamela Lunsmann

Pamela Andrea Lunsmann (Pane), born on April 4, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to Doris and Salvatore Pane, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, after a courageous and unwavering battle with cancer.

Pam was a true force of nature—kind, endlessly generous, and passionate about her convictions. Her warmth, quick wit, vibrant spirit, and infectious laugh lit up every room and left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her beautiful soul will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Neil Lunsmann, who stood by her side through life’s every season. She is deeply missed by her loving sister Penelope (Ed) Calas, her beloved daughters Kelly (John) Englum and Sian (Eric) Rankin, and dear Amy (Dave) Wagner, who held a special place in Pam’s heart.

Pam’s greatest joys in life were her grandchildren: Anthony, Connor, Kennedy, Blake, Scarlett, and Amelia. She poured her heart into their lives, and in return, they lit up hers. Her eyes sparkled with pride and love whenever she spoke of them.

Pam was a spark that lit so many fires—fires of love, laughter, friendship, and life. She had a radiant energy that uplifted those around her and a heart that made space for everyone. Whether through a warm embrace, a well-timed joke, or a quiet word of encouragement, Pam made people feel seen and cherished.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her light remains—glowing brightly in the memories we hold, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.

She will be loved always, remembered forever, and missed every day.

The family will honor Pamela’s beautiful life with a celebration this summer, just as she would have wanted—filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation in her memory.
