Gerald (Jerry) Crist

Gerald (Jerry) Crist, 73, of Salem, IL, formerly of Tuscola, passed away on April 23rd, 2025 in Effingham. He was a retired supervisor of 33 years at Cabot Corporation in Tuscola, IL. He was a loving husband, father and an even more adored grandfather. He enjoyed working outside, tinkering in his shed, taking care of his loved ones, spending time with his granddaughters and his 4 dogs (especially his best buddy, Gizmo). Jerry is survived by his wife, Kathy Crist; son, Jeremy Crist and wife Whitney; and grandchildren: Nadea and Nylee Crist of Centralia, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dorothy (Burmeister) Crist and one brother, Phillip Crist. Jerry will always be remembered by being the most selfless and kind hearted man by all who knew him.
