Terry Lynn Garrett

Terry Lynn “Meat” Garrett, 64, of Argenta, IL passed away on May 14, 2025. Born on February 28, 1961, Terry was a lifelong resident of Argenta, IL. He was a retired millwright with the Local #1051. He enjoyed watching Illini basketball and the Cubs, shooting pool, stargazing, deer and bird watching, and being an active Papa. He was well loved by many and was always found helping a friend in need.

Terry will be greatly missed by his wife, Teri “Hun” Garrett; his son Dustin “Little Meat” Garrett (Sheerie); stepson, Rick Tucker; son in law, Roger Johnson; mother, Liz Garrett; sisters, Lottie Metsker (Kevin) and Janean Garrett-Florey (Brian);brother, Bob Garrett; grandsons, Aaron Russell and Austin Tucker; granddaughters, Amanda Russell, Kaylie Spitzer (Chase), Nevaeh Gould and Kenna Garrett; great grandchildren, Keegan and Valen Russell, Braden Sullivan, and Tripp Spitzer; his nieces and nephews, and many special friends because Terry didn’t know a stranger.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Garrett; brother, Jerry Garrett; and step-daughter Tina Tucker Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21st at 1:00 PM at Bargenta in Argenta, IL.
