Jeffrey Darrell O’Bryan, age 83, of Decatur, IL, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on August 12, 2025. Born on January 28, 1942, in Taylorville, IL to James Bennett O’Bryan and Luveina Ruth Pope. He was a Marine Corps Reserve Veteran having served 36 months. A member to Fraternal Order of Police, Chicago, IL. Retired City of Chicago Police in 1995 with 28 years of service. A proud high school graduate in 1972 in Cook County. Loved fishing and golfing! Married Miriam Gonzalez Puente on September 14th in 1998, Decatur IL. Survivors include wife Miriam, son Jeremy (Leah) O’Bryan, Lacie Washington, stepchildren John (Melissa) Puente, Chicago, Rachael (Craig) Cunningham, Charleston IL. Brother Joe (Karen) O’Bryan, sister Judy Harp, Sullivan IL. Grandsons Michael O’Bryan, Liam (Emma) O’Bryan, Griffin Cunningham and Max Cunningham. Many loving nephews!
