Yvonne Dyer

Yvonne Kay Dyer, 69 of Clinton passed away on December 2nd at St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Yvonne was born May 22, 1956, to Reverend Donald and Jean Woolf in Pekin, Illinois. She married Orman Dyer on May 16th, 1987. He preceded her in death.

Yvonne is survived by her mother, Jean Woolf, Clinton, her 4 brothers: Doug (Kathy) Woolf of Kenney, Kirk (Paula) Woolf of Lebanon, Indiana, Greg (Dawna) Woolf, Mechanicsburg, Indiana, and Derrick (Susan) Woolf of Anderson, Indiana. She is also survived by 3 children: Jennifer (Ryan) Benson, Clinton, Chad (Elizabeth) Bray, Lincoln, and Melissa (Jimmy) Hovis, Kenney.

Yvonne took great pride in her grandchildren: Nathan, Jeffrey, Brenton, Rachael (Aaron), Jessica (Hunter), Daniel, Devin (Ariel), Skye (Matthew), Kristin (Timmy), Emily, and Jameson; and her great grandchildren: Braiden, Aurora, Colin, Maverick, Kira, Kinsley, Zander, Gabriel, Mya, Jedidiah, Willow, Pheobe, and Liam; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, her father, her mother and father-in-law, Ray and Genevieve Dyer, and her son Phillip Dyer. Yvonne retired, but she kept busy by opening a cottage bakery in her home.

She was a licensed minister of the Gospel, through Independent Christian Churches Internation (ICCI). She served as the children’s pastor at LifeBridges Church, Clinton.

She spent her life ministering to many children through the years. She even taught home economics in her home for LifeBridges Homeschool Ministry. Yvonne taught her first Sunday school class at the age of 10.

Yvonne was good at everything she did. She was creative, loved making things, and loved baking. She loved traveling to Jamaica, fishing, and camping with Orman. Most of all, Yvonne loved her family. She enjoyed tea parties and slumber parties with her grandchildren and spent most of her time enjoying them.

Her visitation will be on Saturday, December 13 th @ 10am at the Full Gospel Evangelistic Center, 304 McClean Street, Lincoln, Illinois.
