Jeska Serenity Hall

Jeska Serenity Hall died at 6:15am on January 23, 2026. She follows her grandparents, Tom and Nancy Baker, great-grandparents Patricia and Vernon Galbreath, great uncle and aunt Bob and Jo Kestner, aunts and uncles Jan and Lewis Brady, Teresa Critchelow, Steve Galbreath, two cousins and many young friends we never met, but we keep their names close to our hearts.

Jeska was born to Pearl Baker and Kenne Hall on August 19, 2004. She is survived by her parents, her younger sister Katrina Hall, grandmother Elizabeth Lane, grandfather Keith Hall and wife Regina, great-grandmother Linda Hall, aunts and uncles Tammy and Chris Morgan and William and Samantha Scott, as well as many cousins, great aunts and uncles and extended family and friends.

Jeska Serenity will always be a certified rare young lady. She was born with tremendous challenges and the odds stacked against her by the brain malformation Alobar Holoprosencephaly. Statistically, she shouldn’t have lived to 21 years of age, but she did and she did it with so much JOY! While Jeska was unable to walk or talk, her smiles and laughs touched so many hearts. Many who cared for her said she brightened their day.

We had the honor of being able to share Jeska with so many medical and educational professionals over her years. She was a delightful diva for her Early Intervention physical, occupational and speech therapists. She loved attending school with her nurses. Many of the nurses, respiratory therapists and phlebotomists she encountered over the years remembered caring for her, even when they hadn’t seen her for a few years. We were told nurses would fight to care for her when she was hospitalized.

Jeska made the world a better place and helped educate numerous medical professionals. She was often hospitalized in teaching hospitals, providing a variety of students a chance to see a little girl writing her own rules in action. Jeska had a habit of stumping even seasoned doctors and earned a medical journal write-up in 2010. At the local level, she was visited by student nurses and was introduced to several fresh doctors in her younger years. She helped train in-home nurses for other families.

Jeska loved her family, even when she refused to smile for pictures. She loved being sang and read to. She did not enjoy wet paint on her hands and feet for art and was not a big fan of wind. She loved Peppa Pig, Team Umizoomi and Donkey Hodie. She loved her stuffed husky Max.

There is no greater privilege than having known and loved Jeska Serenity.
