Charles Wayne Range (Charlie), 79, of Farmersville, Il passed away in his home on January 23 rd , 2026. Born December 3 rd , 1946, in White Hall, Il to Wilfred Wayne Range and his wife Doris Mae (Wilkinson).

He was drafted into the United States Army in 1967; he was in the first battalion 21st infantry based in Honolulu, HI, before proudly serving a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam before his honorable discharge PFC (P) in 1969.

He was an avid collector and recycler of all types of metal. Cruising the back roads was his favorite route everywhere. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football. He was bed bound for the last three years and he really enjoyed his caregivers feeding the wild birds and squirrels so he could watch them from his patio door. He was smart, quirky, and had a very kind and loyal heart.

Proceeded in death by, his parents, his beloved sister Diana and her husband Kurt Denzel formerly of Carlinville, Il.

Survived by two sons that he missed having in his life. Niece Cierra (Cyle) Eller and their children Caylee and Carl Molohon, Carter, Elijah, Emelia Eller of Carlinville, Il. Close friends and caregivers, F.N.(Nikki) Carron of Waggoner, Il and her family.

Charlie was loved and cherished; he was a great friend and will be dearly missed. Everyone who loved Charlie would like to thank the Veterans Administration for all the care and services they provided for him. Thank you to all the Nurses, Therapists, their Assistants and Staff at Elara Home Health. Special thanks to Paula W. and Skylar G., and to all the Caregivers and Staff at Addus HomeCare. And Thank you Central Cremation Center for the excellent care and service. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
