Wendy Ransford-Stout

Wendy Ransford-Stout (73) of Assumption Il passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Taylorville.
Wendy was born on January 17,1953, in Decatur.

She graduated as a Comet from Assumption High School in 1973. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, arts and crafts, and spending time with those she loved the most. Her grandbabies were most definitely her pride and joy.

Wendy is preceded in death by her father Albert “Babe” Ransford, her mother Dorothy Jones and two brothers Lonnie and Ed.

She is survived by her husband Duane Stout, sister Susie Mathes, daughter Hope Basford, grandson Tyler Basford, granddaughter Kayla Basford (Luke), and one great-grandson Oliver Basford-Merrifield.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
