Christy L Hammon

Christy Lea Hammon, 69, of Decatur, IL, passed away at her home February 5, 2026. Born on September 29, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington, Family was at the heart of everything.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Michael Hammon, daughters: Cheryl Glendenning (Chris), Dana Tabor, Son Kevin Hammon (Kate). Siblings: Jackie Trollope, Mark Doyle, Joann Enlow (Ed), Becky Gillespie (Bob). Grandsons: Chase Tabor (Taylor), Rayden Clements, Barron Clements, Skylar Clements (Caitlyn), Daniel Glendenning (Sarah Beth). Granddaughters: Maddy Glendenning, Lillian Glendenning. Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Christy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Patricia Doyle.

Christy’s world evolved around her family of kids, cats, and dogs. She loved the outdoors, including camping and fishing. Christy was a dedicated online computer gamer which she competed until the end. Christy was an accomplished cook in which we all enjoyed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
