Jeffrey Lee Manuel

Jeffrey Lee Manuel, 61, of Pana, IL, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 at The Loft of Rock Springs in Decatur, IL after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

He was born on December 6, 1964 in Pana, IL, the son of the late Donnie Manuel and the late Virginia (Ginny) Singer-Hill. He married Julie Goatley (Jones) on June 1, 1983 at St. John’s U.C.C. in Pana; they later divorced. He was known for his hard work ethic, love of fishing, playing pool, and his mumbled sarcastic comments. He was also a loving father and Papa, who was very proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

Jeff is survived by his three children: Jessica Manuel (Michael Garner) of Assumption, IL, Jacob Manuel of Edgewater, FL, and Jonathan Manuel of Pana, IL; two granddaughters: Carter Manuel and Hallond Manuel, with one on the way; Brothers: Dave (Anita) Stewart of Washington Twp., MI, Kirby (Vanessa) Manuel of Pana, IL, and Greg (Chrystal) Toberman of Pana, IL; Step-mom: Lorraine Manuel of Pana, IL; several nieces and nephews; and life-long friend Brett Wood of Beecher City, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents. A private family service will be held at a later date.
