Bryan Lee Watts

Bryan Lee Watts, “Steady,” passed away at the age of 53. He was born in Decatur, Illinois, on February 12, 1973, and was raised in Jacksonville, where he graduated from Jacksonville High School. He later earned an associate degree in Web Design.

Bryan was a man of many talents and colors. He was a father, brother, grandfather, friend, and, at times, a spiritual guide. Music was the gravity of his world. He attended more concerts than most people could count and found joy, connection, and meaning through every note. He knew how to celebrate life, make people laugh, and create unforgettable memories.

A deeply creative soul, Bryan spent much of his free time making art and expressing himself through his imagination. Above all, he cherished his family. Some of his greatest joy came from hanging out with his daughter, and chasing after his grandchildren, sharing in their adventures.

Bryan is survived by his mother, Sandra turner, his daughter, Cheyenne McKinnon, and son-in-law, Patrick McKinnon; his beloved grandchildren, Patrick (Everett) McKinnon and Phelix McKinnon, whom he loved with his whole being; his brother, Darren Watts, fiancé Jody Basham, and their daughter, Charlotte; his brother Kyle Turner and Kyle’s children, Zaiden Turner, Lynox Turner, and Adalynn Turner; his brother Kurt Turner, wife Molly Turner, and their son, Karson; his only sister Rachel Vitale, husband Gianni Vitale, and their sons, Benedetto and Alessandro Vitale.

Bryan was a legend. A bright, beautiful light often found in the strangest and most unexpected places. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, music, creativity, and countless memories that will live on in those who knew him.
