Laura Irene Clark, 66, of Farmer City, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Laura was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose faith, laughter, and love brought immeasurable joy to the lives of those who knew her.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Clark, 62, and Rosemary (Calhoun) Clark, 80, of Mansfield.

She is survived by her siblings, Neil (Becky) Clark of Mansfield, Susan (Cecil) King of Farmer City, and Mary Jane Justice of Eagle Point, Oregon; her children, Brock Roy of Urbana, Caroline (Tom) Rasmussen of Seymour, and Susan Calhoun of Seymour; and her eight grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends who loved her and will miss her immensely.

Family meant everything to Laura. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and treasured the relationships she shared with her siblings. She had an especially close bond with her sisters, they were her best friends.

Laura loved to make people laugh with her quick wit and silliness. She had a way of bringing joy, peace and warmth in every interaction that she shared with so many. This was so evident in her many years as a beloved member of the customer service team at Walmart in Rantoul, Illinois. She formed connections with the people she encountered there and leaves behind countless memories that those who knew her will cherish.

Laura also had a great love for music. She loved singing and listening to old hymns and Southern Gospel music and especially loved the beauty of harmony. Music brought her great joy and was closely connected to the faith that meant so much to her.

Above all, Laura loved Jesus. She loved God deeply, and her faith shaped the way she viewed life and the people around her. That love gave her a genuine concern for the souls of others and a sincere desire for them to know God. She wanted them to experience the truth, faith and love that were so important in her own life.

Laura’s absence will be deeply felt, but the love, laughter, faith and joy she shared will remain with those who knew her and by many more that only spent a few short moments with her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her children and grandchildren and countless memories among her family and friends. She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
