Patrick Rogers

Patrick “Pat” Rogers, 78, of Clinton, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center.

Pat was born on July 9, 1948, and was raised in Springfield, Illinois. In 1989, he moved to Clinton, where he met the love of his life, Jean. They were married in 1990 and shared 36 years of love, companionship, and countless memories together.

Pat dedicated much of his life to serving others and his community. He proudly served with the Riverton Fire Department, Clinton EMS, and DeWitt County Corrections and Courthouse Security. Even after retirement, Pat wasn’t ready to slow down. He continued serving his community as a bus driver for the Clinton Unit School District, a role he thoroughly enjoyed. Whether in emergency services, public safety, or transporting students safely to and from school, Pat found fulfillment in helping others and making a difference in his community.

Anyone who knew Pat knew he rarely sat still. His favorite hobby was simply staying busy. Whether he was fixing something, tackling a new project, helping a friend, or finding a way to support someone in need, he was always working toward something meaningful. He especially enjoyed supporting and spending time with the members of Hooah Deer Hunt for Heroes, an organization and mission that held a special place in his heart.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Frantz and Edward Rogers.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Rogers; his son, Logan Rogers; his daughter, Tabitha (Quinten) Ainsworth; his cherished grandpuppy, Finn; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; Sister, Sandra (Bill) Dennis; and many in laws, nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues, and community members who were blessed to know him.

In accordance with Pat’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

Pat will be remembered for his selfless service, unwavering work ethic, generous spirit, and dedication to family, friends, and community. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched throughout his years of service and kindness. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
