Paul Shoemaker

Paul A. Shoemaker, 81, of Gibson City, formerly of Saybrook, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Mr Shoemaker was born October 13, 1941 in Le Roy Illinois, a son of Louis F. Shoemaker and Leona (Lesher) Shoemaker. His parents and sister, Carolyn Hale, preceded him in death.
He married Bonita M. Shrode on January 17, 1972 in Carmi, Illinois. She survives in Gibson City. Also surviving are their two children, Louis Shoemaker of Melvin and Betty (Jarrod) Holmes of Elliott; two grandsons Shannon Shoemaker of Gibson City and Riley Shoemaker of Elliott; and his brother Raymond Shoemaker of Marietta Georgia.

His family will have a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
