Slydawne Varela

Sly-Dawn Smith-Varela, 75, of Springfield, IL passed away on April 15, 2023 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born October 23, 1947 daughter of Robert and Essie Smith. She married Edwin Varela in 1997, he survives.

In addition to her husband, Sly-Dawn is survived by her 4 daughters; Schelli Outar, Melori Ewing, Cheyenne, and Deanna Ghesa, one son; Giovanni Ghess, siblings; Charmaine Ladd, Antoinette Smith, Maurice Smith, Tempi Duffy, and Caleb Smith. 21 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
