Rusty Murry

Rusty Joe Murry, 62, of Blue Mound passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.  Rusty was born January 14, 1961 in Salem, IL, son of LaVern and Mildred Imogene (Anderson) Murry.  He married Nila Kay Yoder on January 23 1982 in Dieterich, IL, she survives.  Rusty was a graduate of Dieterich High School, and was a Farm Hand at Curtin Farms in Stonington, IL.  In his leisure time Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, camping and golf.  He could usually be found enjoying anything outdoors.

Rusty is survived by his wife of 41 years Nila, one son; Travis (Brandi) Loy of North Freedom, WI, one daughter; Tonya (Greg) Cook of Prairie Du Sac, WI, four brothers; Richard Murry of Altamont, IL, John Murry of Altamont, IL, Clyde (Susan) Murry of Altamont, IL, and Fred Murry of North Freedom, WI, two sisters; Cheryl Starner of Altamont, IL, and Karen (Larry) McFall of Effingham, IL, five grandchildren; Mikah Custer, Rainey Loy, Braxten Cook, Dylan Loy and Dakota Loy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Larry.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
