Gary Cater

Gary Dean Cater, 72 of Decatur, IL passed away on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital.   Gary was born August 27, 1950  in Shelbyville, IL, son of Carl and Sarabeth (Mccoy) Cater. Gary was a die hard Notre Dame fan, he loved the St Louis Cardinals, and he collected ships.

Gary is survived by two daughters; Cassie (Adam) Jahraus of Forsyth, IL, and Alicia Chiligiris(Jeremiah Hoadley) of Decatur, IL, grandson; Yiorgos Chiligiris, granddaughters; Audrey, Cara, and Ella Jahraus.  Private family services will be at a later date.
