Ronald Taylor

Ronald Eugene Taylor gave himself the best birthday gift he could possibly receive which was to be out of pain On June 7th, 2023 Ron passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital at 2:18pm. Ron is preceded in death by his grandparents and his father (Hollis Taylor), 3 beautiful Grandchildren (Shirley, Renae, and Cydney), and his beloved wife Pennie Rose Taylor. He is survived by his mother Pauline Taylor, (Danville IL.) brother Randall Taylor (Champaign IL.) sisters Rita Morgan (Danville IL.) and Rhonda Grice of Indiana. He leaves behind four children Bobbie Taylor (John Driggers) of Broadlands IL., Cathy (Mike) Shanks of Allerton IL., Ronald (Amber) Taylor of Mahomet IL. And Melissa Cross of Georgetown IL. Ron is also survived by 12 grandchildren Damion and Harley Driggers, Cassandra, Cameron, Caleb, Coltin, and Chloe Shanks, Conner, Cristen, and Collin Taylor, and lastly Jessica and Madison Cross.
Ron was a very well known and loved man. He drove a truck for republic services for 27 years. He loved to watch his favorite team the Green Bay Packers play a game and could almost always been seen wearing his Packers hat! Ron collected train memorabilia, and anything Beatles or John Wayne. Ron truly was a unique individual that always had a joke or piece of advice to give you If needed it. His family will continue on “carry on, because that’s simply what you do” but will miss him dearly. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
