Shirley Pisani

Shirley J. Pisani, 85, of Springfield, IL passed away Monday July 10,2023. Shirley was born in Chatham, IL on December 26, 1937, the daughter of Walter R. And Ruby B. (Smith) Fry; Both preceded her in death.

She married Bruce G Wiggins October 24, 1956, they divorced on January 24, 1967 and he passed away August 25, 1992.    She married Lawrence Pisani, Jr. on March 21, 1974.   Larry passed away on April 3, 2014.

She is survived by daughter, Laura LeVeque (Ohio), and sons, Bruce Leigh (IN) and Michael Leigh (IN), 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are the following: siblings, James H. Fry (Woodriver, IL) and Elizabeth A. Sumpter (Springfield, IL); nephew, Larry Connett (Karen) (Pekin, IL); nephew, Alvin Connett (Monica) (Pekin, IL); nephew, Patrick Kelley (Colleen) (Chatham, IL); and niece, Betty Pfister (Springfield, IL).

Shirley was a terrific cook and, with her husband, managed several restaurants in the Springfield area.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas at a later date. Arrangements made by Central Cremation Center, Forsyth, Illinois.
