Cody Powell

Cody Lee Louis Powell age 35 of Bloomington, passed away July 17^th,2023 at his Residence.

He was born August 21^st. 1987 in Bloomington IL. The son of Lisa Norby Goodman and Jeff Powell.

He attended Normal West High School, where he was a Triathlete. He played Football and was on the Wrestling and Track teams.

He loved fishing, boxing, being outdoors, Dallas Cowboys Football and his family. He was very close to his big little brother Ben and little sister Alicia. He loved his son Jermiah very much.

Cody worked as a self-employed Landscaper for over 20 years, He often worked alongside his uncle Larry Dean. Cody attended both Trinity Lutheran Church and Eastview Christian Church in Bloomington.

Cody had many friends; he had a way of winning your heart with his charming smile. He was smart and a hard worker, he always outworked everyone else around him. He was generous and would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar, he always cared more for everyone else before himself.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa (David) Goodman of Bloomington, Brother- Benjamin Goodman of Bloomington, Sister Alicia Goodman and Fiancé Adam Heinrich of Normal, Son Jeremiah Powell of Bloomington. Grandfather Louis Larry Norby, Uncle Larry D. Norby, Aunt Lori Holt. Cousins Dustin Norby and Jaclyn Clem.

He is also survived by his Father Jeff Powell of Peoria and Brother Noah Powell of Normal.

Cody was preceded in death by his Grandmother Patricia Norby.

Visitation is August 5^th 10:00 -12:00, service to follow at 12:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church 801 S. Madison Bloomington. Inurnment will be at Rosewood Cemetery 14237 Twin Grove Rd. Bloomington 61705. The cemetery is located at West Twin Grove Christian Church Bloomington.
