Robert Northway

Robert Allan Northway of Decatur, IL passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2024. Bob, as we knew him, was born August 22, 1953 in Urbana, IL to Donald and Virginia (Wickenburg) Northway. Bob graduated from school in Decatur and also attended Millikin University, and Richland Community College. After working over 33 years as a computer operator at Illinois Power, Bob retired in 2005. He married Carreen Brown in December 2005. Photography became his passion as he traveled the countryside photographing beautiful landscapes.

Surviving Bob is his wife; Carreen, son; Chris (Dedee) Northway, granddaughter; Raven Richardson. sister; Sandy (Steve) Kaufman, sister in law; Dianne (Steve) Shaw, one niece, two nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John.

Bobs kindness, wit and his love of animals will live on in our hearts. Many thanks to all! Memorials can be made to the Decatur Humane Society or the Macon County Animal Shelter
