Andrea I. Tyler

Mrs. Andrea I Tyler, 85, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at The Loft Nursing Home in Decatur, Illinois. Andrea was born on December 4th, 1938, in Macon County Hospital in Decatur to Andrew and Marie Elizabeth (Linn) Gehrken. She attended Warrensburg Latham and Stephen Decatur High School.

She is survived by her three sons – Floyd Joseph of Fairbanks, Alaska, Michael of Creve Coeur, Illinois, and Don (Paula) Tyler of Decatur, Illinois; her brother – John (Carolyn) Gehrken of Decatur, Illinois; seven granddaughters – Aubrey, Cathy, Samantha, Amanda, Sammie Jo, Chelsea, And Britni; and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by family in Kentucky. Andrea is preceded in death by her parents, sister – Sharilyn, and her daughter – Pamela Kay.

Her greatest joy in life was her boys; she loved spending time with family and being in her apartment that suited her just fine. She loved playing cards and talking with her friends at the Oxford House in Decatur, she loved to dance and travel. She was good at overdecorating for the holidays.

Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois has been entrusted with arrangements. There will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
