Phyllis Doak

Phyllis Jean Doak (Hoff) of Oakley, IL was born on July 3,1941. She was born and raised in Decatur, IL. She lived in Oakley, IL for the last 36 years. She lost her battle with cancer on the morning of August 23 at 9:09 a.m.  She was 83 years old.

She was a huge animal lover and loved her dogs very much. Over her lifetime, she raised dogs, cats, chicken, geese, goats, deer, horses, peacocks, pheasants and turkeys. She worked at Parks Eggs and Bishops Buffet for several years. She married Robert Doak on July 22, 1988. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her 3 daughters: Diana (Bill) Sheppard of Davis, IL; Gayle (James) Wright of Springfield, IL; Connie Powel of Oakley, IL; stepdaughter Dawn (Mark) Baer of Harristown, IL; stepdaughter Tracy (Jay) Albert of Decatur, IL; stepson  Bill (Dana) Doak of Shafter, CA; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 sister Marilyn White of Decatur, IL.
