Alva Jordan Jr.

Alva Jordan Jr., 68, of Decatur, IL., passed away March 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in his home.

Alva was born on October 31, 1956, in Decatur. He married the love of his life Paula Jordan. They had two daughters, Jennifer and Wendy. He retired from IBEW in 2018.

He loved spending time with his wife, kids, son-in-law’s grandkids and great grandkids. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and watching the Cardinals and Illini.

Alva is survived by his loving wife Paula, daughters Jennifer (Jason) Hopkins and Wendy (Kevin) Penny, grandkids Isaak, Alyssa, Athena and Axton, great grandkids Sinia and Leilani as well as sisters Sherry and Bonnie, brother Ronnie and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. A special thanks from the family goes to the entire medical team who helped and assisted throughout.

A memorial service has been scheduled for Sunday, June 22nd, from 2-5pm, at the Township Hall, 185 North Kembark Street, Decatur, Illinois, 62522.

Dad, we love and miss you so much. Thank you so much for all the love and guidance you gave to all of us and the wonderful life you gave to our mom and all of us. Love you, Dad.
