Estelene Hood

Estelene Lucille Hood born September 29, 1929, ran into the arms of Jesus on November 25, 2025. She was surrounded by
her loved ones and left this world very peacefully. Estelene was the daughter of Leonard Baker and Hazel (Nanna) Baker. She
grew up a city girl, right here in Decatur, but her beau who was a farmer and from then on, it was farm life for her. She married Harold Hood in 1948. She learned to drive the tractor and the farm trucks and learned all about farming.

After a few years of married life, they adopted two daughters who were their delight! Carol Kay who is married to John GreenLeaf and Karen Lynn. They all were members of Life Foursquare Church and learned to know and love Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

She was the best momma anyone could ever ask for. She is survived by daughters Carol Kay and husband John GreenLeaf, Karen Lynn, grandchildren Sara GreenLeaf Sears and husband Tim, John Luke GreenLeaf, and Danielle Hope GreenLeaf Diskey and husband Danin, great-grandchildren Truett Christian Lickey and wife Destiny, Selah Naomi Sears, Jon Sears, TJ Sears, Dalin Arthur Diskey, Cole Edward Diskey, and Layla Hope Diskey.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Harold Edward Hood who passed in 2003, her parents Leonard and Hazel Baker, her brothers William Leonard Baker and Lawrence Baker, and her sister Ester Arlene Howard.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 pm at Life Foursquare Church, Decatur, Illinois. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Life Foursquare Church.
