Linda Stewart

Linda Sue (Aldrich) Stewart, 79, of Mt. Zion, Illinois, passed away on Thursday May 28, 2026. Linda was born on February 1, 1947, in Decatur, Illinois, to Van and Barbara (Brady) Aldrich.

Linda met the love of her life, Robert Craig Stewart, at a Lakeview High School dance. The two began their life together in marriage on February 26, 1966, and shared many years of love, family, and memories. Those who knew Linda knew how deeply she loved children, especially babies. She cared for children through many years of babysitting and will be remembered for the warmth, kindness, and love she shared with each child in her care.

She is survived by her three children, Robert (Leah) Stewart of Decatur, IL, Theresa (Keith) Koshinski of Decatur, IL, and Andrew (Lynn Jones) Stewart of Long Grove, IL; five grandchildren, Rachel, Garin, Grace, Brooklyn, and Lucia; one great-grandson, Aidan; two brothers, Terry Aldrich of Decatur, IL and Jeffrey Aldrich; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Frank Aldrich; and her sisters, Genene Wood and Kathleen Cummings.

The family will be holding a private burial ceremony.
