David James Stephens

NORMAL, IL – David James Stephens. February 4, 1961 – February 15, 2024

David James Stephens was the sixth child out of a total of eight children born to Frances K. & James E. Stephens in Normal, Illinois. He leaves behind to cherish his life and memories his five remaining siblings: Richard Stephens (Normal), Karen Hagar (Bloomington), Katheryn Claflin (Decatur), Robert Stephens (Normal) and Julie Lilley (Normal), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding him in death, along with his parents, are his sister, Patricia Scheuer, and his brother, John Stephens. David also leaves behind his two beloved cats: D.J. and Moe, who his sister, Julie, has now adopted as her own.

David was a graduate of Normal Community High school and Illinois State University. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1979 – 1985.

Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois has been entrusted with arrangements.
