FEMA COVID-19 SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES
This has been an extraordinarily difficult year as many families have unexpectedly had to plan a funeral as a result of COVID-19. While funeral assistance reimbursement cannot take away the pain and grief of losing your loved one, it will allow you to honor the ones you lost and lay them to rest with dignity.
If your family is eligible for reimbursement under this program, funds come directly from FEMA and our funeral homes will act to assist you in securing funding. As a third party, we will not directly provide or receive any funds through this program, but we can assist with the application process, regardless of whether or not you went to another funeral home previously. Required Documentation
- Official death certificate. The death certificate must indicate the death “may have been caused by” or “was Iikely a result of” COVID-19
- Proof of funeral expenses incurred
- Proof of funds received from other sources specifically for use toward funeral costs. FEMA is not able to duplicate benefits received from burial or funeral insurance, financial assistance received from voluntary agencies, government agencies, or c sources
