August 12, 1955 - January 21, 2024

“I’m happy. I’m retired, I love, I have a great group of friends, I have a fantastic dog, I play a lot of golf, I volunteer, I exercise, I work a little, I laugh, I cry, I create, I eat well, I drink well, I am content, I am neither rich nor poor, but I am happy.” -Art Lauderback, June 10, 2023.

Rixk and I are so sad to hear of a loss of a good friend from our high school days and college. He was a great guy in so many people's lives. R.I.P. Art Lauderback our dear friend. ♥️

Art…what a great friend. We worked on a float crew together at Eastern when we first got hired. Work hardly seemed like work,, because we were having so much fun. Art was always looking ahead at the good things that were waiting for him. If he didn’t like something in his life, he made changes. He encouraged others to make changes in positive ways to enrich their lives. We had both just joined the grandparents club this past year. Two weeks before he passed he had just showed me a picture of Maeve… He said “just look at how beautiful she is!” it was a picture of Art and her together and he couldn’t have looked more proud. He was really looking forward to watching her grow up I miss you friend. Thanks for being a positive force in my life.

Art was a happy, positive guy, always very friendly with an awesome or funny story to tell. To know him was to be his friend. Art will truly be missed by many friends. A great loss for all who knew him.

I knew Art while in the high school band at Flora Township High School. He played the trombone and I played the drums. The drum and trombone sections faced each other and we had fun joking back and forth during practice which hopefully went unnoticed by the band director. He was a fun guy to be around and always had a positive attitude. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
