Barbara Ann Ogle of Mahomet, Illinois passed away peacefully on the morning of October 13, 2025. She lived a full life, and continued to display a love of life and a humor until the end.

She was born on February 7, 1945 as the daughter of Ernest and Alvina Rice in Barrington, Illinois, graduated from Barrington High School in 1963 and studied at Northern Illinois University before joining the world of work at United Airlines, where she took advantage of the travel perks to see the world. She married in 1969, lived near Plainfield, Illinois, and raised four healthy boys. She returned to work as the boys got older, rediscovered her childhood passion for horseback riding in the 90’s, and loved spending time with her horse, Bubba. She retired and moved to Mahomet in 2014, married Robert Ogle in 2015 and enjoyed retired life with family visits, church activities at Mahomet Christian Church, and social time in euchre and mahjong clubs.

She is survived and warmly remembered by her husband Robert Ogle; her sons (and daughters-in-law), Michael (Yunhui) Staffeldt and Thomas (Renae) Staffeldt; her grandsons (and granddaughter-in-law), Mason and Nathan (Natasha) Staffeldt; and her sister (and brother-in-law), Patricia (Brian) Kyrk. As well as the many close friends and relatives, both far and near.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alvina Rice; her brother Robert Rice; and her sons Jeffrey and Scott Staffeldt.
