Beatrice Kay Leffler “Bea”, 68, of Decatur, IL passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at St Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family.

Beatrice was born March 5, 1955, in Springfield, IL to Alexander and Margaret (Earl) Klunick. She married Robert Eugene Leffler on October 22, 1979.

Bea was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was unique in her own way and to know her was to love her.

She is survived by her father, Alexander Klunick; siblings, Frances (Scott) Johnson, Richard Klunick, and Joseph “J.D.” Klunick; children, Michelle (Adrian) Diggs, Nichole Leffler (Karlos), and Robert Leffler II (Chelsey); grandchildren, Alexis Leffler, Fabian Wells (Samontriona), Keishon Wells, Jacob (Martina) Diggs, James “Zander” Diggs, Airiana Leffler, Robert Leffler III, Aubree Leffler; one great-granddaughter, Sabia Rose Wells and several nieces and nephews.

Bea is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Klunick; husband, Robert Leffler; and brother Alexander Klunick.

Cremation is being performed by Central Cremation Center and there will be a celebration of life scheduled for friends and family within the next week or so.

Bea’s daughter Nichole would like to give a special thanks to all who helped care for her mother within the last few weeks after her diagnosis of advanced SCLC.
