Billy Joe Sanders of Rosine, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife, Joy, while under Hospice Care. Born on October 26, 1952, in Hartford, Kentucky, Billy Joe was the son of Charles and Rosetta Sanders.

Billy Joe was a devoted husband to Joy, whom he married on June 17, 1994, in Bloomington, Illinois. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories.

He was a beloved father to his daughters Amanda, Beth, Becky, and Wendy, and son Robert (Lisa). Billy Joe was also a proud grandfather to Courtney, Noah, Cole, Logan, Jamison, Kaitlyn, Mason, Addison, and Kara. He held a special place in his heart for his loyal puppy, Harley.

In addition to his immediate family, Billy Joe is survived by his brothers Scottie, James, and Speed, and sisters Melinda and Bertha, along with numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Billy Joe had a passion for motorcycle riding and cherished the moments spent visiting friends and family. He lived life to the fullest and brought joy to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rosetta, as well as his brothers Fred and Merlin.

Billy Joe’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private family gathering to celebrate Billy Joe’s life will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Billy Joe Sanders.
