Candace “Candy” Crang, 75, of Kenney, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 20,
2023 at Carle Bromenn Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. Candy fought a lengthy, but
valiant battle and through it all, she never lost her spirit, humor, and love for her family.
Candy was born on December 27, 1947 in Clinton, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late
Dick G. Crang and Laura Ellen (Smith). She graduated from Clinton High School and was a
member of the First Prebyterian Chuch in Clinton.
Candy enjoyed all species of animals. She loved to read about them, care for them, and adored
the ones she owned. She also enjoyed all kinds of flowers and gardening. Above all, she loved
and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. The most precious gift in her lifetime was being
a Granny or a Nana Caca to her beloved grandchildren whom she “loved to pieces.”
Candy is survived by her children, Julie Miller (Steve) of Galveston, Indiana, and Mike Campbell
(Tracy) of Pinson, Alabama. Surviving family also includes her two sisters, her best friend Cathy
Clark (Bill) and Rani Crang. Her beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn Fale (James), Sara Miller,
Gracie Miller, Mitch Campbell (Sway), Nick Campbell, and her newest great-grandson, Benny
Campbell. Also surviving are special nieces and nephews, Laura Earl (Bob Karr), Dylan Earl,
Gage Irvin (Shari), Matt Buggar (Teresa), Jamee Jester (Chuck), and Kameron Jester.
She was preceded in death her sister, Betsy Crang, a very special niece, Terri Crang, niece,
Wendy Heironymus and great-nephew, Blake Staton.
Memorial contributions can be made to Kenney Fire & Rescue and the Kenney Hertiage
Association in Kenney, Illinois.
A celebration of life will be held at Cinco De Mayo in Clinton, Illinois on Friday, November 10,
2023 at noon for food, laughter, and memories.
Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, IL is handling arrangements.
