Carole Hamblen of Shelbyville, formerly of Arthur, passed away peacefully at home December 29, 2022, with family by her side.

Carole was born April 30,1938,in Tuscola, IL. She was daughter of Orville and Bernadine (Cross) Haney. A graduate of Tuscola Class of 1946.
She married Frank Hamblen of Arthur, formerly of Shelbyville on June 29,1963 in Paxton, IL.
Carole worked at Masterbrand Cabinet for many years before her retirement.
Mom was an avid, die hard fan of the St.Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears and Fighting Illini. Often heard cheering (yelling!) from neighbors!! She also enjoyed fishing and canoeing years ago.
Surviving family will greatly miss Carole; daughter Kathy Hodge and husband Cliff; sons Mark(Sparky)Luckenbill and Scott Luckenbill. Grandchildren; Kyle(Laura)Hodge,Emma(Otter)Bono, Nate(Brittany)Luckenbill, Ella(Niko)Luckenbill, Andrew(Tiffany)Usher,James(Jennifer)Usher and Drew Luckenbill. And 13 great grandchildren. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Jack(Joan)Haney and Jim(Sue)Haney, grandson Zachary and great grandson Landon.
Carole wishes for no services are granted. Family suggests Memorials be made to the Parkinsons Foundation or American Heart Foundation in her name.
