Charles R Gebhardt, 78 of Mason City formerly of Dwight, Odell & Fairfield, IL, passed away on Monday April 13, 2026. Chuck was born in Pontiac on June 1, 1947 to Carl and Nellie (McCoy) Gebhardt.

Chuck attended/graduated from both St Paul Grade School and High School in Odell, IL. He was a Vietnam Veteran. After he returned home, Chuck found work at RR Donnelley & Sons in Dwight, IL where he became a Bindery gatherer and trimmer operator. In 2004, he retired from (RR Donnelley) LSC Communications. Chuck enjoyed many things including spending time with his grandchildren, working on race cars, watching the Cubs and Nascar on TV, wearing his USA hats, driving Chevy trucks, having a beer and a smoke in the garage, listening to music, and talking about his fast Roadrunners that he had in his youth.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Bruce) Statler of Dwight and his son, Charles (Jennifer) Gebhardt II of Mason City; 3 grandchildren Trinity (Moises) Gebhardt of Humboldt CA, Wyatt Statler and Jack Charles Statler of Dwight; 2 step grandchildren Garrett and Abigail of Mason City; a brother, George (Nancy) Gebhardt of Stanford WA and a sister, Susan Gebhardt of Palm Bay FL; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his dear black lab Abby (whom he still talked about).

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
