Cheri L. Jones, 79, of Decatur, passed away on September 8, 2024. A service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.

Cheri was born on December 28, 1944, to Joyce and Gerald Engle. After dedicating 25 years of service, she retired from the City of Decatur. Cheri cherished her many years of travel in her motorhome alongside her husband, Rick, and had a special love for her beloved Boston Terriers.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rick; her sisters Paula (Bob) Foran and Tammy (George) Wilderman; her sons Jerry (Audie) Neil and Mike; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Cheri was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Tim.

Her family remembers her with love and will miss her dearly.
