Cheryl Ann (Jones) McCluskey, 68, of Decatur, IL, passed away peacefully on the morning of July 11, 2025, at home, surrounded by love.

Cheryl was born on May 26, 1957, to Virgil I. and Helen E. (Petrosky) Jones. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1976 and worked in several local restaurants over the years. She enjoyed playing Ms. Pac-Man, games on her phone, embroidering, reading true crime books, and filling her adult coloring books with vibrant creativity.

Cheryl is survived by her devoted older brother, Robert (Bob) Jones, and his wife, Sharron; one sister; and her children: Jimmy, Tiffany, Allen Jr. (Bre), Matt (Mesha), Jennifer (Kevin), and Danielle. She cherished her granddaughters—Aniyah, Aaliyah, Natalie, Jayla, Aliana, Jasmine—and her long-awaited grandson, Aj. She is also survived by her large extended family and dear friends, including Nate and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristle Ann; her parents; her other siblings; and her former husband, Allen Sr. She was especially excited to be reunited with her cherished brother, Denny.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Tracy, R.N., Chaplain Joe, Memorial Hospice, Tabernacle Baptist Church, and everyone who visited, called, or sent messages of support.

A memorial celebration is being planned for a later date.
