Cheryl “Sherry” Ann McAlister, 67 of Decatur, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 26, 2026. Cheryl was born May 12, 1958, in Decatur, IL. She is the daughter of Bill and Darlene McIntyre. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed Casinos, gambling, traveling, her Polar Pop of Pepsi, and spending time with friends. She was a high school graduate from Warrensburg Latham High School class of 1976.

Sherry will be greatly missed and survived by her son Michael (Drew) McAlister (Megan), mother Darlene McIntyre, brother Terry McIntyre, sister Patricia Hinton (Bob), brother William (Billy) McIntyre, sister Vicki Brown, numerous nieces, nephews, and family. She is reunited in Heaven with her father Bill McIntyre and grandparents Robert and Marie Fischer.

The family would like to thank Cancer Care Specialists (Dr. Velasco), St. Mary’s ER, ICU, the 6th floor nurses and staff, and finally to the hospice/comfort care team for all their care and support through this time.

Central Cremation Center will be providing the cremation services for Cheryl. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
