Christina Leann Cutler (Otloe), 46, received her full healing on Wednesday, December 25th 2024, at Regency Care in Springfield, Illinois. Christina was born September 25th, 1978, in Pana, Illinois. She was a graduate of Pana High School, class of 1996. In 2010, while working and providing as a single mother, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Argosy University. She later used this degree to work as an advocate for youth and homeless individuals, utilizing her gift of servitude well. Christina was blessed with a family that loved her beyond words, supporting her all the way to the end.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenna (Bryce) Barton, of Kincaid, Sophia Wade of Mt. Zion, and her fur baby, Stella Mae; mother Annette (Bob) Sarver of Pana, father Jerry Otloe of Pana; siblings Jennifer (Mike) Thompson of Moweaqua, Jarad (Karli) Otloe and Victoria (Eric) Weber of Bloomington, IL.
Alongside being a devoted mother, Christina was a proud aunt, friend, and Gigi. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, her dearly loved grandbaby, Birdie Lynn, and her best friends, Ryan and Jenna McCrady. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Walter & Earlina Lawrence and John & Margaret Otloe, all of Pana. She had 6 angel babies, 5 of her own and one grandbaby, all awaiting her arrival.
Christina had a servant’s heart, always finding ways to spend quality time with the people she cared for. She loved going on mission trips, volunteering at events for her church and community, hosting Bible study, and throwing cookouts! She loved to sing, evident by her years on the worship team and her infamous karaoke performances. She had a carefree spirit and an outgoing personality, never failing to make those around her laugh. She was the life of the party and lit up every room she entered, no matter the circumstances.
Christina’s family would like to thank her incredible cancer team for their care the past 7 years. She had a dedicated group of physicians advocating for her from the start to the finish, always searching for her next treatment option and offering her endless support.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Christy’s honor on Sunday, January 12th at the First Nazarene Church in Taylorville, IL. The service will run from 2pm to 3pm, with a private celebration for her family directly following.
Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois has been entrusted with arrangements.
