Christine “Chris” Giles, age 64, of Decatur, passed away on January 7, 2024. She was born on January 28, 1959.
Christ worked as a server most of her life, with the most recent being at Perkins Family Restaurant. She loved spending time with family, watching the game show network, and napping in her favorite comfy chair.
Chris is survived by her children: Jill (David) Oakley, Timothy Giles, Katrina Giles, and Aaron Giles; her mother, E. Ann McNamara Kramer; and her brothers, Donald (Mary) Kramer and Jeremy (April) Kramer. Chris was a loving “Mammaw” to MaKenzie (Austin) Fegett, Matthew (Ella Oelfke) Oakley, and Timothy (“TJ”) Renfro. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Fingers” Kramer, her sisters, Patricia “Patty” Scheibly and Mariann Morstatter, and her brother, Allen Kramer.
The family of Chris Giles invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring her life and sharing cherished memories. Graveside services will be at 1pm on Friday, January 26th at Point Pleasant Cemetery. Following will be a Celebration of Life held at Long Creek Township Office. The family requests casual attire.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Cancer Research.
