Christopher Lee Rapp, 50, of Decatur, IL, passed away on 11/29/2024, surrounded by loving family at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Christopher was born August 6, 1974 in Springfield, IL, the son of Gary Rapp and Rebecca Rapp. He graduated from Athens High School.

Christopher worked as an Electrical Engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad. Christopher loved boating, horseback riding and karaoke.  He liked working with his hands and always had a project in the garage. He enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with his Harley. He was an exceptional craftsman and could build, fix and wire just about anything.

Christopher is survived by his girlfriend Tina; four children, Morgan (Thomas), Meagan (Billy), Weston and Lani; 4 grandchildren; his mother Rebecca; sisters Crystal (Frank), Stacey (Craig), Kirsten; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Christopher in death are his father, Gary and grandparents, Ben and Audrey Rapp.

The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 12:00pm-4:00pm at Mama Lee’s Sandbar 6111 Mechanicsburg Rd, Springfield, IL 62712.

Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois has been entrusted with arrangements.
