Preceding Dale in death parents Ada Pettyjohn and Ira Pettyjohn, siblings Edward Pettyjohn, Larry Pettyjohn, Nancy Dickson-Gentry and Charles Pettyjohn and brother-in-law Joel Gentry.
Dale leaves behind his son Justin Montgomery, (Hartsburg, IL.), sisters Barbara Smith (Decatur, IL.), Diane Pettyjohn (Peoria, IL.), and brother David Pettyjohn (Decatur, IL.). Dale also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews and their children along with many great nieces and nephews.
Dale enjoyed mowing, riding his bike and fishing.
