Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Danny J Dugard passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 17, 2025, in Bement, IL. Born on November 13, 1943, in Kentucky, Danny lived a full and vibrant life.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Peggy Dugard, and his children: Dan Dugard, Jr (Shari) of Frisco, TX; Teresa Riddle (John) of Bement, IL; Freddy Inman (Jami) of Brighton, CO; and Kevin Dugard of Denver, CO. Danny was also a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Dugard, in 2012.

Danny was a man of many passions. He loved to fish and hunt with his friends, sons, and brothers. Raised in Kentucky, Danny and his family moved to Denver, Colorado, in 1979, where they raised their children. In 2006, Danny and Peggy moved to a small farm in Kirk, Colorado, where Danny’s outgoing personality earned him many lifelong friendships. He had a special fondness for animals, including his pet donkey.

In 2025, Danny and Peggy relocated to Bement to be closer to family. Danny was known for his great stories, life advice, and sense of humor. He particularly enjoyed getting Peggy “fired up” and would smile the biggest smile while she lovingly scolded him, a memory cherished by the whole family. Danny had a talent for fixing vehicles and operating equipment, and he spent his life working hard, whether farming or driving trucks.
