Danny P. Moody, 74, of Oreana, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024.

Born on January 7, 1950, in Decatur, Illinois, Danny was the beloved son of Arthur and Pearl Moody. He leaves behind his devoted sister, Margie Nozicka (Ed) of Stevensville, Michigan, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his dear sister, Pauline Scroggins.

A proud graduate of Eisenhower High School in Decatur, Danny furthered his education at Lakeland College in Mattoon. His charismatic personality and warm smile endeared him to many during his years as a bartender at Tom’s Bar & Grill. Danny was a man of many talents, often taking on various jobs, and was known for his exquisite drawings and paintings. His passion for motorcycles was well-known, adding to the tapestry of his vibrant life.

Danny’s legacy is one of joy and kindness. He was a beacon of positivity, always wearing a smile that brightened the lives of those around him. His family and many close friends will deeply miss his presence.

The family extends special thanks to Jeff and Morris for their unwavering friendship, particularly during Danny’s final days.

A burial will take place at a later date at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, Illinois.

Danny P. Moody will be remembered for his artistic spirit, his love for life, and the smiles he shared with everyone he met. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
