David James Drew, born February 8, 1954, passed away on February 13, 2026.

He was the father of a son, David Drew, and two daughters, Vanessa Opperman and Amy Drew. He was also a grandfather to six grandchildren, who are part of his lasting legacy.

Throughout his life, he was known by many in his community for his friendliness and willingness to help others. Like many, his life was marked by both strengths and struggles. Within his family, his story was more complex, yet he remained an enduring part of their lives and history.

He lived simply and found joy and comfort in familiar routines, including cooking meals, discovering new flavors and watching his favorite television programs and movies.

As a man of Christian faith, he believed in the promises of the Bible and Jesus Christ, and his family entrusts him now to God’s mercy and peace.

He is survived by his son David & Lyndsay Drew, and daughters, Vanessa Opperman and Amy Drew; his grandchildren, Ariana, Abigail, Sophia, Nathan, Kody, and Spencer; his siblings, Barbara, Carol, Sandy, Tony, and Paula; and others whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church in Hurst, TX.
