Diana “Dee” Ashenfelter, 77 of Macon, IL. died April 17,2025 after a battle with cancer.

Diana was born February 12,1948 in Decatur,IL.  She was the oldest daughter of Richard and Doris Crawford. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1966.

Before retirement Diana ran Decatur Sewing Center where she enjoyed sharing her passion and talent for sewing by teaching classes. She loved spending time with her students and watching them create.

Diana married the love of her life David Ashenfelter December 27, 1976. They had 4 children, Teresa (Newingham) Branham, Marti (Newingham) Broomfield, Tim Ashenfelter and William Ashenfelter.

Diana was preceded in death by her beloved father Richard. She leaves behind to grieve her mother Doris, her husband David, 4 children, 2 sisters, 2 brothers,  10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way).

Her family would like to thank the Macon Fire Department for all they did in the attempt to keep her with us on the evening of 4/17/25. You are appreciated.   Thank you
